GST (Goods and Services Tax) is implemented in India national wise and came into effect on 1st July 2017. All the legal items sale and purchase have an HSN (Harmonized System Code) code attached to it, which defines the taxation of the product. Myth and general exemption are, if the product price is, say Rs.1000.00 then the salable amount is equal to Rs. 1000.00 + GST 18%. But the actual fact is that salable amount will be Rs. 847.00 + GST 18% only, not the previous one. So the taxation is the inherent amount attached to any available systems in the market whether it simply is a household item say 40watt of an electric bulb of Rs. 10.00 or it is a luxury car worth Rs. 10,000,00.00, the taxation is inherent. Now, this is a trick only for the sale instrumentation for the interest of the buyer whether to highlight the tax amount into the billing system or not, but the tax amount is there. And the same will be adjusted with the registered GST holder within the source (buyer) and the seller.
