On-Demand Transportation Technologies Aggregators (ODTTA) is in the exercise of powers under Section 93 of the Indian Motor Vehicle Act, 1988. The recent Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2019, identifies cab aggregators as 'digital intermediaries' and a license is mandatory for all the App-based taxi aggregators to operate at the state level. The aggregators will be issued licenses by state governments on the guidelines issued by the central government. It is also mandatory that the aggregators comply with provisions of the IT Act, 2000.
